Hi, my name's Dr Warrick Bishop. I'm a cardiologist and welcome to my Healthy Heart Minute.

There's no denying that there is a difference between delivery of healthcare face-to-face, cardiologist, or doctor, to patient across a desk, versus the delivery of that healthcare broadly through communities and through structures and organizations such as private hospital, private health insurers, public hospitals, public clinics. There's a real interplay and a requirement for these things to balance each other.

I got the chance to speak with Dr Zema about this and he believes that they're a bit out of whack at the moment, and talks about how he believes delivery of healthcare could be improved.

Well, I tend to agree with him. It's a really, really important area.
